Dreams do come true. How do i know this? Well, if you'd have told me 3 years ago when i was studying here in Tokyo that one day I'd be attending a Vegan AND gluten-free cooking class, then I'd have probably 1) drooled at the thought of yummy vegan food or 2) called you a naughty liar :') Click below to see how the class went! *Warning: the cheesy pose to the left :')* This week i was lucky enough to be chosen as a model for a personal training gym in the gorgeous district of Ginza, Toyko. The personal training gym, RiDEAL, offers one-to-one personal training, body conditioning and physiotherapy. They wanted to film me undertaking a personal training session for their website and obviously i jumped at the chance! :) Click below to find out how it went... Yes! Another Vegan Meetup! You might be surprised to know but there are vegan meetups and vegan events held all around Tokyo- a great opportunity to meet and network with other like-minded people, all while tasting some of the yummiest vegan food that this metropolis has to offer! :) Last nights Meetup was held at Nataraj, an Indian vegan and vegetarian restaurant located in the famous Harajuku! Click below to find out how it went... Hey guys! How are you all? I'm great, because today I attended a vegan Japanese cooking class run by the company 'BentoYa' in Yokohama. I have never attended a cooking class in my life and i really wanted to learn how to cook so that i can thrive as a vegan here. Keep reading to find out how it went...! :) YES you read that correctly! For months I've been searching (rather half-arsed-ly might I add) for vegan protein powder here in Tokyo. I have asked around and most people have replied saying they just buy theirs online every few weeks but I don't really like to shop online too much and I wanted to physically see the stuff before i bought it so i held off from using my Amazon Prime for this. Thankfully i found some SOY PROTEIN powder (the brand name is ZAVAS) in a pharmacy in Tokyo and have since actually found similar brands in other pharmacies and chemists near the diet foods section. The pack is about 1.5kg, cost about 4000 JPY and is chocolate flavored which is great because i have really been craving chocolate lately... :') The pack comes with a serving spoon and each serving contains 15g of protein so its great for those who are looking to add more protein to their diet for any reason. Its also not a meal-replacement mixture so is low in sugar. Personally I plan to use this to build a bit more muscle. I workout pretty often but i am out of the house for 10 hours a day so find it difficult to get the necessary protein to keep my body fueled. Hopefully this will do some good and i can post the results here after a few weeks... ;) (: Today i went to the lovely little raw vegan cafe and bar, .RAW (Dot Raw) for a Japanese Yoga lesson and also a strawberry and peach soy smoothie (you can order any drink on the menu after the yoga lesson as the price is included!) The Cafe is located right in the center of the busy tourist and entertainment district, Roppongi. Keep reading to find out about my yoga experience! (: |
