After modelling for them a few months back, today was officially my last training session from the Ginza personal training gym, Rideal. I have been getting back into training and learning a lot from them and also i get the chance to talk about vegan fitness which is something i am really interested in. Click below to read more! Rideal focuses on one-to-one training which means your trainer can personalize your workout to your exact requirements and you can get tips to use at home related to your training and your diet as well. As a vegan i often get asked about my protein intake and how i manage to maintain my figure without losing muscle mass. These are questions that all the trainers had and i was happy to answer. While i dont actively think about my protein intake i do eat a whole foods based diet most of the time where i get most of my protein from complex carbs such as rice and oats. I also eat a lot of tofu and soy based products which have the benefit of being high in protein but low in fat and cholesterol. I recently found a vegan soy-based protein powder here in Tokyo and i rink it after workouts although i have been told i need to drink it much more regularly and perhaps with breakfast too. Any thoughts you guys? I am really glad that i got to train at this gym for a while and i met some lovely people and learned a lot. I also become much more motivated to start lifting heavy again so I've decided to start attending the local public gym in my town instead of just yoga every day. I am really open to connecting with people who are interested or currently training on a plant based diet so if anyone has any recommendations for Instagramers, Youtubers etc please let me know! As always, thank you for reading and if you have any comments, suggestions or feedback please feel free to get in touch. Until next time!
