Hey guys! How are you all? I'm great, because today I attended a vegan Japanese cooking class run by the company 'BentoYa' in Yokohama. I have never attended a cooking class in my life and i really wanted to learn how to cook so that i can thrive as a vegan here. Keep reading to find out how it went...! :) I found this company on Facebook Events and noticed that they hold classes on weekends which is perfect for my work schedule. I signed up to the event online and just went to the location and as easy as that, i was able to attend and get cooking! The classes are run quite often and differ in contents (there's a vegan Ramen and Gyoza event coming soon which I'm dying to attend!) In todays class, we were shown how to make the following: Vegan Maki rolls, Vegan tofu mayonnaise, Vegan Miso Soup, Vegan Tempura and Strawberry, soy milk ans red bean 'sherbert' ice cream. As you can see from the pictures, all of the ingredients were supplied by the teachers which includes aprons, all cooking utensils and also a menu of the days recipes aswell as the ingredients list to take home to remake ourselves! It might sound obvious that the company supply the ingredients and utensils but I've seen a fair few cooking events where participants had to bring their own aprons, Tupperware and bowls etc... Not fun :') I have been trying to attend a vegan cooking class for pretty much the same amount of time as I've been vegan (a long time...) but just never got round to it or felt that it wasn't a priority. But today has made me feel much more positive and confident about my own cooking and has given me the boost i needed to start cooking really yummy vegan meals instead of just filling my belly with easy and mildly healthy vegan meals that i cook at home. I think I'm a changed woman after today and have learned to really appreciate quality vegan food and the effort that goes into it. To anyone looking to attend a class like this, i really do recommend BentoYa. The two female instructors were so kind and patient and helpful. They answered questions i didn't even know i wanted to know the answer to and today was just so much fun getting to meet vegans from inside and outside Japan. Thanks for reading this far, as always if you have any comments, suggestions or recommendations please comment below or go to my contact page to find me on social media. Also i recently started an Instagram for this page so please follow me there too as its getting lonely :') </3 @vegangirlintokyo Speak soon x Contact BentoYaYokohama LocationTokyo Location

This course looks fun for sure! I'd love to try. I want to share a school that is specialized in cooking classes. "Trupp the Chef's Table". https://truppthechefstable.com They have courses suited both for beginners and advanced cooks on the kitchen. Once again, thanks!
