Dreams do come true. How do i know this? Well, if you'd have told me 3 years ago when i was studying here in Tokyo that one day I'd be attending a Vegan AND gluten-free cooking class, then I'd have probably 1) drooled at the thought of yummy vegan food or 2) called you a naughty liar :') Click below to see how the class went! This is my second cooking class with the amazing BentoYa team, and this time we were in a kitchen in Yotsuya where i was lucky enough to meet other people interested in veganism. The recipes of the day were vegan ramen and vegan gyoza (both gluten-free too, of course) We started off by mixing the gyoza ingredients together and using rice paper to wrap them up into little neat packages. For the first time in my life i made fresh gyoza and learned how to make them from scratch, make them look pretty and like the real thing. I have bought vegan gyoza online many times but they can be a bit expensive (although very worth it), yet i have never thought about making my own! From now on, i will make my own using the delicious and simple recipe leaflet provided by the BentoYa team :) After we wrapped the gyoza, we started to prepare the broth for the vegan ramen and one by one we each had a turn at stirring while the teachers told us about the ingredients and where we can buy them from in the city.
