Now, I can't say I believe in heaven, but if vegan heaven exists, then trust me, they have a T's. T's is an extremely highly reviewed 100% vegan restaurant in Jiyugaoka, Meguro and also happens to be my favourite vegan cafe in Japan. Click below to find out more :) Unlike many other vegan cafe's and restaurants i have visited in Tokyo, T's makes their vegan philosophy both widely known and informal for everyone. They have information boards which are changed daily it seems and covered in information about vegan protein and healthy vegan living. All of their menus clearly state that no animal products are used in their food and their Ramen Shops 'T's Tan Tan' in Tokyo and Ueno stations even have vegan facts written on their tables and walls. Many of their items are gluten free or can be adjusted by simply asking for the gluten free option and all allergens are clearly pictured on the bottom of each photo on the menus. I first visited T's during my studies when I did a one-year exchange at a University in Tokyo. I had heard amazing reviews about the place and decided to check it out not long after landing at the airport. The variety in the menu is what shocked me first as they sold Japanese,. Italian, Spanish and Indian cuisines and each item looked absolutely stunningly presented. The images here are only a few of many i have taken over the last 6 months of being back in Tokyo and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with a single item on the menu or by the treatment from the staff who are all lovely and helpful. Each time i go to T's i try to order something different. I have tried two kinds of their curry, their ramen, lasagna, paella, their chocolate cake, fruit and chocolate parfait (yeah, I'm bragging...) and so far I am still desperate to try more! Their dessert menu and cocktail menu is also full of delicious sweet treats that often change depending on the season. Items such as Fruit parfait, Chocolate cake, Pound cake, Strawberry mousse and Banana cake are just a few things that you can find on their dessert menu throughout the year. They also sell all vegan and organic beers and wines which I am yet to try but really want to so that i can finally cross some of those off my list too :') T's also sell their own brand curry and lasagne sauces, cup ramen and cookies and scones to take away! I recently found their vegan cup ramen at an Odakyu Supermarket close to my house..... I bought 7 :') Thank you for reading this far and please let me know if you have any comments, suggestions or recommendations for new vegan places to try in Kanto! New vegan cafes and restaurants are opening up almost on a monthly basis here in Tokyo and its great to see the vegan movement gaining so much traction. Until next time <3
